The company has finally unveiled the newest Flagship of the 13 series, i.e., Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The flagship handset is the successor to the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Let’s take a look at the Design & Specifications of the 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Design
As for the Design for 13 Ultra, it is identical to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra from last year, so let’s get through it quickly! Big display at the front, minimal bezels all around, and there’s a centered punch-hole camera. The curved display merges with side bezels. The power button and volume rockers are on the right. Type-C port at the bottom. The frame of the flagship is made up of metal. As for the back, there’s a big circular camera module that houses quad cameras with Leica branding in the middle of the quad cameras. The rear of the flagship handset has a textured leather finish, which is an Antibacterial nanotech silicon leather that the company says will reach a 99% bacterial inhibition rate, and Xiaomi randing is the bottom left of the phone. Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specifications
Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a 6.67 inch 2K Curved AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits, which is the brightest among all smartphones as of now. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and there’s also support for HDR10+ & Dolby Vision. Under the hood, the flagship handset is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM & 256/512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and that’s not it. There’s also 16GB RAM & 1TB storage variant. Moving on, the flagship runs on Miui 14 on top of Android 13. Xiaomi 13 Ultra comes in three color variants – Black, White, and Olive Green with a Leather finish at the back. Now to the Highlight of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, The Cameras. Well, the flagship device has a Quad rear camera setup at the back with the Leica branding under a circular glass which the company calls Leica Vario Summicron 1:1:8-3.0/12-120 ASPH lens. Nonetheless, the main camera sensor is the 50MP 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. Although what’s different this time is that the flagship device features a variable aperture. The variable aperture allows you to take shots at the f/1.9 aperture for those bokeh shots and goes upto the f/2.4 aperture for taking sharp shots. The sensor bins the 1.6um pixels 4-to-1, which gives results in 12.5MP images with the huge 3.2um pixels The other three cameras, all use the new 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor. A 50MP telephoto lens with 3.2X optical zoom & f/1.8 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with f1.8 aperture, and a 50MP with 5X optical zoom, and there’s a 32MP front camera as well for selfies. Other features of the camera include fast mode and a new 50MP UltraRaw mode, and more. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Flagship device features an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and is IP68 water & dust resistant.
