It is an online multiplayer battle royale mobile game which was first released on July 2nd, 2021, and it is one of the most popular multiplayer battle royale games in the country. BGMI’s return is good news for Indian gamers considering its impact on the Indian gaming space as it made history by becoming the first ever game whose esports tournament got televised, not to forget the game is making a comeback after almost a year-long ban by the Indian Government. Since that day, there have been several rumors floating around about the potential re-launch of the game. Now, The developers have finally announced the date for the re-launch of the Multiplayer battle royale game on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Following the announcement of the re-launch, the game servers went off, and the game was unplayable. Now, as per an announcement within the game, BGMI is available to preload for players who have Android. However, it will only be playable for existing and New players BGMI will be available to download from May 29th. The same goes for iOS users as well. As mentioned before, BGMI developer, Krafton was asked to make some changes to make sure the game remains unbanned. Krafton, in an announcement that it has put many measures in to comply with Indian laws. Let’s take a look at some of the things that the devs have done. One of the main points was to change the color of the blood & to reduce the bloodshed, violence, and nudity. Also, restrictions to keep language in control. For players under the age of 18 years, the game now has One Time Password (OTP) verification. The players must register with their parent or guardian’s phone number. After receiving & verifying it, the youngster will be able to play the game. The devs were asked to set a daily limit on the purchases in the game that will restrict players from overbuying and overplaying the game. The devs have also added break time reminders, and the players will be reminded in-game from time to time to take a break from the gameplay. Also, measures have been taken for players under the age of 18 years old not to play the game for more than 3 hours each day. lastly, the game is on three months trial period, and it will be interesting to see how all this turns out for the company and the Indian gaming space at large.
